Red and blue wins out over me (which is a real shock- that's generally my least favourite of the three main tyranid themes) but you've really done it justice! First picture 2nd from top looks the most menacing. Maybe with some bone colored claws. Second picture bottom one is my runner up.

This is very time consuming and it's probably overkill if you plan to paint a large batch of tyranids with this technique. For a good tabletop quality, 2-3 layers of edge highlight are probably enough.
